Kirti Kulhari recalls Himesh Reshammiya forbidding her from improvising Badass Ravi Kumar scenes; reveals him saying, “Don’t mess with what we have”

Kirti Kulhari recently starred alongside Himesh Reshammiya in Badass Ravi Kumar. While the film has been panned for its cringe quotient, recently the actress opened up on why she chose to do the film. During an interview, Kirti revealed how Himesh refused to take her inputs and warned her to not mess with him.

During the interview with news18, Kriti said, “Himesh and I exist in parallel worlds. How can they ever meet? I remember there were a few dialogues and I wanted to improve them, add something to them, remove something or say them differently, and he told me no. It was almost like take it or leave it but this is what it is. He made it clear that if I say yes to the film, I’ll have to do things his way or not do the film at all. That was the moment that I knew I’ll do the film.” She went on to add, “He was like, ‘Don’t mess with what we have. This is what it is.’ I wasn’t offended. I was happy that here’s somebody who knows what he’s doing.”

When asked if she had any reservations about signing the film, she said, “Of course, I wondered what the film would do for my career and if my audiences would like it. But I wanted to challenge the idea of who I am and how I look at myself as an actor. I want to bring a shock value with the things I do and that’s just the trip I’m on.”

Talking about movie, it is produced by Himesh Reshammiya Melodies. Badass Ravikumar is a musical action film that is a spin-off of the 2014 film The Xposé. It also stars Prabhu Deva, Simona J, Saurabh Sachdeva, Sanjay Mishra, and Johnny Lever.
